@millie how much time does it take to reach Mars? Is it 9 months? I don't remember, it might be the travel time to the moon but let's say it's for Mars. When someone gets pregnant in here, they can breed(hope this is the proper word, if not forgive me) in Mars. But since there isn't enough oxygen to live it would be impossible to raise a child. So if you are pregnant, don't plan to go Mars with a dream to raise your child on Mars.

@oguzhanI would believe that the time it takes to teach the Moon would be way smaller, at most 3 months (I don't actually know though)According to Wikipedia, it is roughly 9 months indeedI don't expect anyone to actually try to do in the current timeline, but, I enjoy making fun of Musk whenever I get the chance

@oguzhanEven when we are fully ready to colonize Mars, when all is ready, I still think that there would be biological challengesGravity is about the same.. so.. uh.. we don't have to worry about thatbut what about radiation?I assume that habitats would be shielded, but I don't think we would have a giganting domeSpacewalk suits would provide *some* protection, but not 100â„…What would the effects of long term radiation be on pregnacy?

@oguzhanOver time, I'm sure that our bodies will adapt to it, by mutating like any living beingBut in order to keep the colony/civilization, new people would have to be bornSuch on-Earth studies would be unethical, and even when we reach Mars, should we really put that to test for the sake of science?Naturally we would know, but the risk could be greater than any benefitI love space and innovation, but now that I brainstormed it, I question if it's the right thing to do
