@Nou @Nike Of course not. Not every baptist is part of my church. Baptists have a mechanism for correcting errors if large portions of a church goes astray: cutting off the gangrenous limb. It happens all the time, particularly often now that the SBC has been completely infiltrated and subverted. Catholic, Orthodox, etc have a mechanism for correcting unrepentant heresy as well: excommunication. Given that the hierarchies of those churches don't bother to correct or purge actual Mary-worshippers, why shouldn't that lead me to believe those churches' leadership don't consider Mary-worship a problem?

Maybe there are some fringe cults in the third world, but as far as everyone with the local infrastructure to face an internet connection to even read the critiques go, then the population of relevant people is zero. The Orthodox have several prayers where they ask Mary to save them. Adherents to Sola Scriptura don't direct worship towards words on paper, which is the critical difference in your example. Purgatorio and Paradiso are just as good from a technical writing perspective, but you could really tell he had a lot less to say about those he feels are being rewarded than those being punished.Also, depending on which translation you have... they can be a bit tough to get through.And if you do read it, it's very important to keep in mind it was written as polemic, and not try and read it as a theological work.
