[en] Look, if a job requires unwavering #attention for long periods of time, then let someone that can give such attention do it, and by that I mean computers and machines. After all, a big part of the Industrial Revolution is to offload such boring work... Henceforth it makes more sense to automate jobs instead of coming up with workplace #monitoring softwares (which are also automated), no?[zh] 一个工作如果需要员工无时无刻的关注,那它就应该给机器做。既然工业革命已经淘汰了繁琐重复的劳动,为什么现在的雇主会倾向于监控各员工的一举一动,而非将这些工作自动化呢?

@a But an automated monitoring system can be used in various unrelated work environments. Whereas automating specific workflows confines to its work.Hence, automated work monitoring system came before in time, and automatic workflows are being tagged for future endeavour.

@avinash_lvs Sorry for bad choice of words... But automation actually does the work whereas the efficiency of workplace surveillance tools vary greatly and so do they really contribute to doing the work?

@a Automation of workflow costs more resources though its more efficient, it is not just the easy step to take.Workplace surveillance on the other hand is easily accessbile. I dont support workplace surveillance, i myself find it unethical too. Just making a point why it exists over alternative ways like automated workflows.
