       I guess I am going to have to get a new computer now.I put a memory upgrade into my nearly decade old machine and now it won't wake up even after returning it to the original configuration.I was grounded during installation, so I doubt it was ESD.

       @urusan Attach a speaker to the motherboard connector and see if it beeps an error code. It should beep with everything except the cpu removed. You can also use a ear phone.
