       First of two Waltham butternut harvests.This is literally only half! I'd stopped counting at 15 fruit earlier this season, but there are 22 out there!..On two vines!To be fair, they were planted into a compost pile that had been built up for two seasons, and got a solid shot of ferts to boot, but wow.Second round will be seeing their first frosts w/in a week or so, but hopefully with the first round removed they can harden off their stems and be ready.

       @Whitewall_Blasphemy Thanks. They keep so long, we can generally just cut into them fresh when we need them. I literally still have one of the other variety I grow from 2021.

       @graf They make a good side dish something like mashed potato. Soups, of course although it's not particularly popular in this house. Will probably do a pie or two, although I rarely get the time for that.
