YouTube removed the feature where you could sort a channel by oldest videos first and replaced it with just these two options. What is the point of removing that? This was a useful tool sometimes when a channel had hundreds of videos.

@zyntrax interesting, I have previously noticed that the "sort by oldest " would be missing for some channels but not most. guess the idea is to make it easier for people to not easily see older videos, avoids others digging into people's pasts or something. Another troon and lolcow protection scheme

@zyntrax yesterday on PC they weren't there at all while browsing older vids. checking today it looks like they updated the way descriptions are displayed and the dates are back. i'm not sure if they're just testing out features or they were updating or something but yesterday upload dates weren't showing up at all, just weird. this new sorting feature sucks though i routinely used sort by oldest to look through large channels

@zyntrax I have the option to sort by oldest on all channels. Just music channels can't do it. The url should work though, weird. Can you do it in a private browser logged out?

@cock I just tried it in a private Brave window and not only does it work there but the Sort By option is back. I'm so confused now. It appears that being logged in changes what you see on Brave on channel pages.

@zyntrax Honestly I don't doubt that YouTube are trying to do away with sorting by oldest. The fact that music channels havent been able to do it makes it seem so. Maybe it's an early feature or just a glitch
