@thecanadianrogue I remember wondering about this years ago, can you find a job after 10 years of being a YouTuber ? Will this guys even retire one day and if so at what age ?

@Aviz @thecanadianrogue I also think about this. All too often, people I watch have received millions of views on a handful of videos, garnering themselves enough money to go pro while leading a minimalist lifestyle. Later, they fuck up and probably make less than minimum wage based on view counts. No hope for upward mobility and certainly not anything fulfilling like a family. YouTube is creating a poverty class we won’t even understand until the problem results in a dozen suicides.

@Aviz @thecanadianrogue @Godcast and I have talked about this, and if you are gonna be doing online content as a living you have to figure that you have like, 5 years at best of good living off that. So whatever your content is in those 5 years better have a skill behind it that you can rely on later, or have some skills you are developing that you can point to your content as proof of.
