If elites truly had that level of control then you’d see broad acceptance of things like bug protein. They have a lot of sway, especially over the people on the bottom half of the IQ distribution, but they don’t have the level of control over public opinion that you seem to believe.As in this case. The shift in public opinion didn’t happen because of a manufactured lie, but because of a change in the situation in Ukraine that they have merely been reporting on.

Even Crimea voted for independence from Russia in 1991, and Russia agreed they would respect Ukraine’s independence under the Warsaw Pact. Now, they’re violating that agreement. What you’re saying is basically like saying we should give Alaska, another piece of land close to Russia that was owned by them at some point, back to Russia if they want it, because the Tsar fucked up and sold it too cheap back in 1867.

@dave @Jackuu has it ever occured to you that the elites haven't been as consolidated or rigorous in support and promotion of bug protein as they have been on other matters such as explicit political policy affairs. It's possible that with a bit more tact and effort in the next few years bug products could be pushed much more successful and the same goes for just about anything else. A few successful marketing campaigns are all it takes to convince a good portion of the populace of anything
