       @thunderbird To whom it may concern and who has the possibilities to give it a try: I can wholeheartedly recommend #nextcloud (and also OwnCloud, although not tested by me) to have personal, shared and subscribed calendars all in one place and across web, pc, mobile. Works like a charm also w/ #thunderbird Any baseline, non-configured, out-of-the-box nextcloud instance will happily and reliably replace Google calendars. And so much more.

       @schroedingersdogLet me add the info that there are several #Nextcloud hosting providers that offer an account with limited space for free.https://nextcloud.com/sign-up/(Click on "Change provider" to see the list.)That's more than enough for calendar and contact sync.@thunderbird
