I mean I'm in my 40s and I'd say yeah when i was young i remember them being very welcoming and trying to help minorities and gays. But probably near the end of clinton it started to turn into that "well if you don't see it my way you're just a fucking uneducated biggot" it stalled out a little after 9-11 because we all had someone to collectively hate then Obama racebated us for 8 yrs and its been just getting worse.

@swattysquad This. It was always there in different guises, but it definitely ramped up like you're saying during that period. I'd also add their representation in Big Tech/Social media and entertainment grew considerably. Further allowing that boot on the necks of their opposition to become a lot more noticeable.
