       either the long dark wiki is wrong about how animal bleed out works, or the bears are bugged so they don't register hits a lot of the timeI've (eventually) killed several bears with single revolver shots to the head, but then I'll also get bears that I have to shoot many times over many days before they finally remember they're supposed to diethe bear that was haunting my coastal highway base took four revolver shots and three rifle shots to the head, spread across two weeks in game, before it finally died. it mauled me 3 times in that period because it kept coming upon me while I was actively butchering a fresh killfucking asshole bear

       @deprecated_ii I don't think Bears bleed out, i only remember ever killing either a deer or a wolf like that.

       @Aviz wiki says only moose don't bleed out. I've only engaged one moose and I had to shoot it like 15 times with my revolver before it died. worth it for the satchelI've never killed a bear quickly, I always have to shoot them and wait to find their body later. but half the time they don't die :02_shrug:

       @Aviz it's retarded how many wolves there areI'll kill half a dozen wolves just traveling between regions and when I come back there are just as many wolves as there were before

       @deprecated_ii I always play custom with Rabbits on High, Wolves on Low and everything else normal.Even then then there is always a wolf waiting to stalk me near almost every good save-house and they always re-spawn after 2 or 3 days even you kill them.It makes the gameplay SO repetitive, i wish they were as rare as bears.

       @NormalGuy @deprecated_ii They released a map on the last update that has both a more fun type of wolf to fight against and a machine that can manufacture bullets.You do need to make one hell of a trip to unlock the machine tho.

       @NormalGuy @deprecated_ii I don't play the story so frankly i don't know.The original creator moved on for another project and left someone else in his place, who from now will be making paid expansions instead of the previous free updates.So i assume the original plot is finished.
