I think it is exactly for this reason he was asked/chosen to run and be the face of the movement. They seem to have backed off with it somewhat as well and know that it&#39;s not polling well with Americans. They made the transition palatable for the masses.All while promising more.It worked until the Exchequer ran out of other people&#39;s money in the late 70s.Progressivism is untenable, in the end reality asserts itself and exposes the insanity of the entire project.I think we are seeing that now.
