       testing out mattermost for group collaboration and let me tell you, matrix will put user pronouns in their spec but wont let you have custom emojis. i can even react with my custom gigarobot emoji on mattermost

       @graf It looks cool but it kinda looks overkill. Then again, matrix/element is similar. The licensing's weird but at least there's an AGPL option I think. It'd be cooler if I didn't JUST get synapse all nice and ironed out, but at least it's there if self-hosting matrix takes a huge dump.
