@djsumdog or Poland or the Baltic states...Or probably any country that sells LNG.While it would serve as a great false flag for Russia, and possibly help them get out of some contractual disputes concerning fuel delivery, it doesn't make much sense for anyone else while Russia has the pipeline shut down anyway.

@m00se @DotardTed Russia already held the keys to the gas tap......sabotaging the pipeline is redundant to the cards they already held - it only works against them as they'll never be able to sell gas to EU. So the US does it....to permanently punish Russia and isolate them.....and yes, to "Fuck the EU" - b/c of muh green energy. Seems obvious to me.

@isaac @m00seI'm aware of the Biden Babble, but until we can inspect the damage, we'll never know if this was Russia opening a relief valve or the dramatic destruction of the entire pipeline. All we see now is bubbles, Russia is losing nothing, with no market, they have to burn it off regardless.In fact, anyone with an acoustic mine could have dropped them a few MONTHS ago and triggered it later.Who has the most to gain? Would the US risk breaking up NATO when they already have the orders?

@LorenzoRojo Anybody with an oil well probably has natural gas. For years it was something like a waste product that had to be burned off. If you have a pipeline network that can deliver it to an LNG compression station near a harbor, you're in business! But that's lots of "ifs," and a high expense to get into the market. Pipelines are MASSIVELY cheaper.This year, the US became the number one exporter of LNG.
