Finally got a chance to start replaying Prodeus now that it moved out of early access. Still a great game. I've really been digging the fuck out of boomer shooters. Seems like a ton of them have released and a majority are really good.

@BlackpilledNeilBreen An FPS styled in the vein of a game released sometime in the period of the 90s to 00s. It's more than simply aesthetics or graphics, though that is a part of it but the mechanics, level layouts, weapon selection soundtrack, and feel.

Have you played Dusk and Ion Fury? I’ve never been a big build engine guy but Ion Fury sucked me in, and Dusk is just great fun.Not sure why Prodeus didn’t hold my attention the same, maybe since I’ve been playing it off and on during the kickstarter beta and shit.

@voronesh234 @Jim I half expected it to be so, something like Quake, but interpreting the expression as "shooter for boomers" was too funny to pass up. Especially if it was the opposite of the true answer.

@Jim @Jens_Rasmussen WRATH is amazing, it's like the original quake1 but bigger and better (it's even on the original quake1 engine). Unfortunately the original devs left and the project is moving forward at a snail pace. Real shame, the few levels they have in the early access build are incredible

@Richard_R_Ape @Jim @BlackpilledNeilBreen a lot of boomer shooters i remember playing came from those pirated discs with plenty of demos to play, i never knew if they were official or not given they gave you a "now buy the REAL game" ad at the end. That's how i got to know old shooters like Hexen and Doom, also introduced me to the M&M franchise. Loved those old discs
