@CoolhandJames @Kinochet Well there’s limits to what they can ask for and there are limits as an American company that you can choose to provide. A good example of this is the New Zealand police wanting the logs of everyone who viewed the Christchurch video. He told them to get bent. But had a user posted it there first and used KF as the jumping off point, I would expect him to give the data of the uploader over. Law enforcement always bothers sites like this. Mostly they get ignored and can’t really do anything anyway.

They will try to make contact with a site owner first and ask nicely. If you know your shit legally or have a lawyer they almost always forget about it. Unless it’s something where an actual US crime was committed on a US site. Then they may formally file something. The UK seems to go straight to the paperwork. Germany seems to be that way too.

And that meant that yes they could probably ID someone but it may not be 100%. If I recall correctly that’s the core reason of why they dropped that. They intentionally did this hoping to unmask Tor users later. But the fallout is that everyone using those exit nodes during certain time frames could be their guy.

I don't think he cares that about about the "dox" being online. Its still online at DOXbin and nothing is ever said about it. The problem I think was how KF cataloged all the nasty stuff he has posted over the years and the discord stuff in to a nice neat thread. Plus the bobposting stuff and mailing troonshine to kids. Kirtaner and his group were working on KF user accounts a year and a half ago. I watched them start to target them in their very small Matrix. They took the old Doxbin leak of usernames and started in on it. At the same time they were also cracking hashes and phishing people. Mysteriously, a bit later an account calling themselves EZClapFarms rented booters to down the site. Kirtaner seemed to know those details before anyone. That user also asked for donations in Monero. This is one week after his friends encouraged him to start using Monero. The attacker also said in the press release that they were hackers on Estradiol, something Kirt has been saying in private for months. And he had a groomed minor in his group using Estradiol. Also in that group is DDoSecrets Emma Best, another tranny that was bent on attacking KF. When the renting of the booters became a financial burden it stopped. Plus, it wasn’t needed at that point. They were making progress on the user list.
