@shadowfacts didn’t Apollo 11 also have a fuel leak on the pad that they just patched up enough for launch?

@brunoph I think so, and they definitely had higher risk tolerance during the apollo era.though one would hope that in the past 50-odd years, they’d have gained enough experience to do it more reliably

@shadowfacts @brunoph They also routinely had leaks on very similar Space Shuttle hardware, but rarely had to scrub multiple times for the same problem.
