You can rag on microsoft all you want, but you can't say that it's a limited OS. you can install and run anything you want, and it's possible to disable and uninstall microsoft garbage. apple won't let you delete the calendar app.

and it's also possible on android too, same as microsoft, you just need a custom app for it, you can delete preinstall bloat by running ADB

@Jessica Same :komi_thumbup: I'm not speaking about just ads though, I hate Google's products in general. Every time I try to use one it's either gotten a shitty facelift, a godawful redesign or is just imprecise as fuck, with the data collection adding insult to injury. An iPhone seems like a natural product to get if you don't want to use Google products

@Jessica I'm still forced to use a Google product with Android. Android to begin with, then if I want functionality outside of running F-Droid apps, MicroG (which still requires connecting with Google to function properly!) or full-on Google Play Services. With an iPhone I can kill two birds with one stone

@makura I don't want to rely on 2 phones, and there's things that I do on a regular basis on android that I just can't do on an iPhone, so it's basically unusable for me.I use a hotspot faker so I don't have to pay for hotspot data, which is entirely impossible on iOS
