i recognize sometimes we as admins/jannies get moderation choices wrong. do you think a ban appeal page that would allow people to appeal these bans would be beneficial? if nothing else it gives the banned user one more chance to call us faggot and i think thats all that really mattersthe idea is to create an automated email when a user is banned letting them know the reason why with any appropriate poast attached. a link could be provided in that email for the user to appeal it via this page. thoughts?

@graf I believe this would open you up to Appeal Exhaustion. Assume every faggot, fed and journo is going to file an appeal and you will have to continue answering these or ignoring them. Either way. It's just one more thing they must go and check. A strikes based system where you message the offender privately the poast moderation had to remove for given reasons, ToS violations - and a point. Stack 3-5 points and the account is banned. They'll lose all of their poasts, followers and follows. If it really matters to them, they can just make a new instance.

Right now I believe the ToS says if you're banned you're banned and don't make an alt.I'd rather someone come back through officially and more-reformed than doing burner alts. Although registration might still be closed so this could all be a non-issue. Maybe even more of a non-issue due to being able to join another instance and still interact with poast.
