       Hey #biketooters #mastobikes, are there any alternative apps you would recommend over Strava? Additionally, would you recommend OpenStreetMap or OSMAnd for navigation?        @guofu I use OSMand and it's great. I have a profile set up just for cycling that highlights the trails on the map for me.For tracking, OpenTracks can record your activities similarly to Strava (no social features though).Personally, I have an AmazFit Bip U smartwatch where I do all my recording (GPS, heart rate, etc.) which I sync via GadgetBridge, then I export that activity to OpenTracks because I like viewing my activities there over GadgetBridgeHope that helps ✌️

       @brandndaslva @guofu +1 for osmand - the only thing I dislike about it is that it is quite difficult to enter addresses. At least, I find it difficult, maybe it's just me?If you bike a lot, it's elevation function and detailed information is great.

       @ParadeGrotesque @guofu 100% every time I use it to drive, I have to spend extra time pinpointing the address because sometimes it will give me the street name, but no numbers lol 🤦‍♂️For me with cycling, I generally know where I'm headed, so I just glance down to make sure I didn't miss my turn for where the trail starts (there's a lot of mixed routes where I'm at, sometimes you're on the street woth traffic, sometimes you're on a dedicated trail)

Try Photon (an alternative search app OpenStreetMap) and configure it to open with your favorite map app, like OsmAnd, or Organics Maps.https://photon.komoot.io/
