@porsalin Back in 2004, San Andreas both glorified and criticised black and latino west side gangster culture, lightly touched on a few social issues and had a majority black cast but was never overbearing or annoying, always tried to have fun with the setting and, most of all, let THE PLAYER have fun with it. San Andreas became one of the most popular GTAs and CJ one of GTA’s most beloved characters.I wonder what path Rockstar will take with 6, nearly two decades after what many consider to be the best GTA.

@Aviz @porsalin That's a trend, isn't it. I remember once reading a focus-group based theory on why shows often have the whole white female, black guy couple going on. I'll break down what I remember of it, I don't know if it's true:>test groups for TV shows are mostly comprised of white women>white man with white female pleases the test group but isn't diverse enough>white man with black female is diverse but doesn't please the group since it doesn't let the white women self-insert well>black man with black female has the same issue with the one above>black man with white female is diverse and, while not preferable to white women, it still lets them easily self-insert and is easily acceptedThis could, potentially, lead to mirror results if the test group were to be reversed to white men. Anecdotally, I'd find it far harder to self-insert into a black man paired with a white woman than a white man paired with a black woman. In fact, due to how much the first is pushed, I get a knee-jerk reaction to it as if someone is trying to swindle me.
