Then they were getting stuck in border towns in Canada unable to leave, and Canadians were furious and blamed the USA for, uh, I guess having an effective border.

@Moon for the record those are all very tiny buildings that get stupidly overcrowded even with it only having temporary pop during good-weather summer days.and its all owned/rented by rich elitist fucks that can't stand each other, much less any lower classes that might take the ferry over to play tourist and enjoy the beaches.i wouldn't recommend putting any hobos or immigrants there, the island is very cut off and dense, they have like one little grocery store and a couple gimmick shops, and it just sucks overall. NOT worth the hype the place gets at all. (and those buildings are all old and cost a fortune to maintain and repair because you cant get a fucking truck and construction crew on the island without a massive struggle and having to ferry everything back and forth each day.say you did put people there.... it isn't going ot actually help them. there is literally no job market, and extremely limited access to the mainland via the ferries. unless you find them all IT jobs they can work from home on shitty satellite reception... you'd be much better off letting them set up a tent-city in one of the unused parking garages in a major city.
