When other friends replaying old games says that they don't remember where to go or what happens next, I really, really envy them.Because for me, I haven't forgotten a single game. I remember most secret places, game mechanics or dialogue lines.Maybe because I love these games too much? Or don't play new titles too often? I can't say that this isn't true for them. So what then?

@a1ba even if many years have passed since you played last time?

@kaedechan yes. I was replaying a few games that were preinstalled on my first PC. These are the first games I ever played, and I still remember how to beat them.

@kaedechan that's the funny thing, my memory is shit. Short-term memory is a joke for me. Long-term is fine, I guess.

@a1ba I don't know if you have the patience for randomness but rogue-likes have enough randomness in them that knowing all the secrets still doesn't make it easy. Kirby Air Ride is something I grew up with and City Trial still doesn't feel repetitive due to all the variables that could go wrong/right. I know not many games have randomizers but they're worth a try if they do, knowledge of the game will only take you so far.

@soarinskyhigh yes, agree, replay value is important. It's almost main reason to play some game again, because not remembering it just doesn't work.
