[Longpost, bear with me] :Take this as the writing of someone whose only vested interest in the Kiwi Farms debacle is surface-level at best; having only browsed there, I never made an account at the Kiwi Farms and don't really intend to (nothing against them, posting there and maintaining involvement is just something I've never considered).As I've said before now, I've been keeping track of what's been going on with The Moon v. Troon Saga, and something came to mind that I thought sounded familiar when it came to CNN's coverage of the matter at hand.CNN is vilifying Joshua Moon's Kiwi Farms as a den of evil where the seeds of hacking and harassment campaigns are planted and the fruits of these malicious labors harvested, but their hands aren't exactly clean of matters such as these. In fact, you'll find that they're quite guilty.A few friends had pointed out to me that in July of 2017, CNN had once engaged in hunting down an individual that posted a specific .gif of President Donald Trump fighting another wrestler with the CNN logo imposed over said wrestler; said individual had made the .gif in question.After some cursory research (it was cursory, trust me: CNN actually admitted to pulling all the bullshit I'm about to mention at the first page of a Google search), I'd found out the following.The individual was a Redditor that went by the handle, "HansAssholeSolo," who'd taken credit for the .gif's making in question and for President Trump tweeting the video soon after a video of the .gif was fleshed out.CNN’s KFile, their investigative journalism team, pieced together bits and pieces of the guy's Reddit posts and determined his name and a Facebook from that name that matched the details that they had gotten, and then proceeded to contact him via e-mail and his phone. It was then that the Redditor in question DELETED FUCKING EVERYTHING and bounced.They admitted to this in the following link.cnn.com/2017/07/04/politics/kfile-reddit-user-trump-tweetIn that same link, they even said that the only reason why they didn't out him was because he extensively apologized for his Wrong Ways™, and even brag about the fact that they reserve the right to out him should anything they feel would warrant his outing come about.So CNN will clearly take all the effort to out a guy who makes a .gif on Reddit for having The Wrong Political Opinions™ after putting in the resources to do some sleuthing on him, but what they won't do is use that same "accountability journalism team" known as KFile to even verify if that poor trans dindu nuffin wrong tranny Keffals is telling the truth (Lucas Roberts is not telling the truth, about this or his gender).If you get on their bad side, if you express the wrong opinions, should you say or do anything outside of the options they provide to you as acceptable, they will use the force of their institutional power to attack you and threaten you with outward exposure. The understandable conclusion is that CNN have no problem attempting to dox or threatening to dox others when it suits their agenda, and their Keffals fluff piece has zero to do with anything but trying to stifle dissent.They don't care about "doxing."They don't give a shit about "harassing."THEY DO IT THEMSELVES. THEY DEVOTE RESOURCES TO IT.THEY HAVE DONE IT.If you say or do anything that they do not like or that does not align in the lockstep of their ideological push, they will use their resources to piece together things about you for the sole purpose of finding you out, of ruining your life, and should you rescind your awful ways, they will still lord their power over you as a reminder that at any moment's notice, they will bring the hammer down on you.What a bunch of completely insincere, hypocritical sociopolitical sadists, charging K.F. with things that they themselves have done, have themselves documented and openly bragged about doing to someone.Do not buy for a moment that they give a shit about "protecting" anybody but the people they can pander to. @Eschatology Much like the government seeks to monopolize violence via police (look at self-defense laws in Europe and Canada), the Press is trying to monopolize doxing and ultimately blackmail. The press are more dangerous than the government in my eyes because they monopolize a control of information. A government might be able to kill someone, but they can't wholly destroy the information or ideas that person they've bumped off will leave behind. The press, however?They can destroy, warp, misrepresent ideas, they can control information solely by their enormous presence, their resources, their backing by the government. But they're on the internet, now; trying to control people by bullying them and doxing them into silence. You see it all the time with those faggot blue-haired "journos." Now, here's how I see that.By being the environment that it is, I see the internet as a place that guarantees the God-given right to the freedoms of speech, expression, association, and all the good things any sane human being, across all nations, should value. Even at disagreement's first light. It is a place that should cherish and champion total freedom.With that all-encompassing Internet First Amendment, I also believe in a Second Amendment of sorts that helps prop up the First:Weaponizing that information gained, when people try to silence you.I would normally tell anyone in any situation that doxing is wrong, just like I would say that shooting someone at random is wrong. @AltisticRight @Eschatology I’m sorry to interject, but wanted to provide a small correction- the letter was from a known user of a known doxing group - not Ethan Ralph, nor KF. KF was wrongfully blamed by Lucas, although he knew damn well who the doxer was. Thankfully, this truth was revealed a few days ago, and Lucas had to admit that it wasn’t KF. There’s one journy who released a rather factual article, but only after the damage had been done by the rest of the “media.” Journalist suck and so does Troon Lucas. Sorry to vent, I just hate seeing people wrongfully taking the fall because someone willfully lies for clout and money.
