@Zerglingman @boilingsteam the news for me is that they'd had two ads per 'break' prior to this experiment.People are tolerating that? To 'support' channels, after multiple rounds of media-conspired adpocalypses that completely murdered creator ad revenue? All of those RAID: Shadow Legends and VPN and Manscaped pitches, all of those walls of patreons, those were your notarized permission to use adblock.

@apropos @boilingsteam Or yt-dlp, or just something else entirely, which is the only one that actually handles the censorship bullshit.

@boilingsteam If people can't figure out how to use Ublock Origin that's on them. More reason to use Peertube or Odysee anyway.

@PublicLewdness peertube and odyssey work Ok but they dont even have 1% of the content that youtube has because of network effects. Very hard to reverse the tide at this stage.

@boilingsteam That's why more and more people are testing alternate ui's for yt on pc or apps on mobile. I personally don't use normal yt since years because that shit practices what they do is not advertising anymore. It is simply a spamming and bombing users with unwanted crappy content. So less google so better.

@boilingsteam Guess we shouldn't use Linux because Windows is more popular. Same logic.

@PublicLewdness i am not saying anything what people should or should not do. Just merely an observation that networks have strong centralizing effects.
