       One of my goals is to use the steam deck as a Haskell development environment.First thought: it's larger than my pocket. It's quite a bit larger than the Nintendo switch; meaning it's very firmly out of pocket sized.It's still small enough to carry around like a medium to small purse.Battery life is good, but I'd expect that in the first week of use.The speakers are much better than I expected from the size.The many inputs are great when gaming.As a gaming console, the steam deck is great!

       I spent some points and bought a cool looking monochrome green on black onscreen keyboard. Looks good in the steam UI, but there is no onscreen keyboard in "desktop" mode.I think that means a separate keyboard will be required for software development.Now I wish I'd kept one of my Atreus keyboards.
