@swaggboi @famine I regularly run apps that will never adjust their DPI or whatever. 1440p is the highest I can go at any size. I’ve even got my 4k TV here at 1440p.

@JoYo @famine Dang I thought it was just Linux that struggles with the HiDPI. I gave up trying to make the scaling work lol I just select the lowest tier option for the screen when I order a new laptop. Yay shitty brightness!!

I unironically used a T420 at work a few years back because AWS issued everyone in my department 16GB laptopsslack + 1 tab on a shitty HP choked it to deathI pulled a T420 out of the ewaste bin and filled it with ram and flexed on all the Mac bois

@famine @JoYo My personal machines are currently all Fedora save for my web server running Rocky Linux and a Slackware 14.2 server that's running my Misskey instance. At work we're stuck with ScientificLinux 7 for some time I imagine since we just upgraded from 6 last year 😭 and then we have Macs that are also like 2 releases behind for some reason

The spyware for MacOS/windows here is SO much worse and obtrusive than Ubuntu, it's actually not inconvenient at all to use Linux here since inshallah I will never need to use office software outside an occasional Gdoc
