@Nike I played the shit out of Morrowind, and bought Oblivion on release day, only to be bitterly disappointed with how much they had dumbed it down. I heard Skyrim was even more dumbed down than Oblivion, and I didn't have a PC that would do the graphics justice, so I never bothered.

@Teuton_Cornelius @Nike Ordinator is a great skill tree mod that makes the perk system a lot more in-depth and play style defining. I think that and a few other QoL mods are really all you need to do to enjoy the game. Then whatever you want to add cause modding can be just as fun as playing imo

@Teuton_Cornelius @Nike So for basicly what I would consider a vanilla+ modlist, you'll want the following:-Skyrim Script Extender-Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch-SkyUI-Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim-Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim-Summermyst - Enchantments of SkyrimAnd if you want to experience Vanilla Skyrim without it being a buggy mess and with a bit extra depth, that really all you need IMO. MCO is great but its a lot more effort and trouble shooting to get it off the ground, but if your having fun to start it and its requirements are a big recommend, people are currently porting Elden Ring movesets in to be used with it and they look great. Otherwise, I'd check out all the other mods that the guy who makes Ordinator and those as theyre (almost) all very well balanced and vanilla feeling.
