@Boomerman @Terry these strikes are most likely being coordinated by USAF personnel, but I highly doubt the F-35 is being used for SEAD duty over ukraine since the F-35 hasn't been cleared for the regular -B/C/E model HARMs (the -B model is the one constantly showing up in post-damage photos in ukraine) and the AARGM isn't in operational service yet (i wouldn't put it past the US to consider using it in Ukraine though). if the F-35 is operating over ukraine, its most likely as an escort jammer to an aircraft that can carry the AGM-88B (which the F-35 can't do neither internally or externally)

@Boomerman @job384 @Terry i think only the -E's and newer have GPS guidance, but even the older HARMs are only used in the USAF with a special targeting pod the US uses on its F-16CJ's to improve accuracy because INS with home-in-on-jam/home-in-on-radar isn't accurate enough against smaller more mobile systems. the ukrainians are using a very barebones way of targeting and destroying SAMs and radars with the HARM.

@job384 @Boomerman @Terry yes but that's not how it works, the HARM is flying in a "HARM as a sensor" mode, but its flying mostly based on pre-inputted data done on the ground to the missile itself and once it flies to a set area based on the pre-input data via inertial guidance, it uses its passive radar to guide itself onto any radar emissions, destroying any radar or SAM system it finds. the range of the missile itself is mostly limited by the flight altitude of the plane and not necessarily the guidance system, since in the "HARM as a sensor mode" the HARM is programmed to immediately fly up at a higher altitude to increase its range.

@Boomerman @Terry In the Kherson offensives there was video of a Mig-29 with the HARM missiles and Russia shot a couple Mig-29 down so kinda congruent there
