@Elliptica @teaclips I have no idea what the elements are in Canada, but one of the elements of any tort anywhere is always that the activity alleged caused damage. That's one that's hard to prove in most instances, but here it's easy. As far as the other elements, zero idea, I'm just a contractor in America.

@Ishmael @teaclips I think the criteria is "for no other purpose but to do harm". When he again invokes the "fighting to trans rights" BS, then maybe it will fly? It could become a problem because Destiny would have to prove that he is innocent and that whatever website fucked him over did so at the request of Lucas.Civil cases just suck because the outcome is rarely decided by who was right or wrong, but who has enough money to keep their legal defense through it all. If enough people sue Lucas though, that might be enough to fuck him over.
