@graf @Juno @OfInterist @RekietaLaw If you just want the moral victory, you could probably get a quick default judgement by filing in Canada, as Ralph likely wouldn't bother showing up. If you actually want to try to collect damages, it might make more sense to file in the US and skip the Canadian part entirely, as trying to transfer the judgement to the US might be more complicated than just trying to win a defamation suit from scratch. This is where you really need to talk to a lawyer who understands cross-border litigation to map out your options.

@graf @Juno @OfInterist Not your lawyer, but you can hire a local advocate and they can retain local counsel for the jurisdiction Where suit is brought.Lots of people do this if they have a local person they trust or who is familiar with their business model/activities.
