@Hampture There are quite a lot of fediverse instances with different rules and the tech is at a point where it isn't TERRIBLY hard to make your own and in so doing you will still be able to interact with poast or all the other instances. Or you can stand up your own pretty easily and connect with everyone else. The federation model lets you make your own rules, but it also lets people make their own culture in pockets without needing to block the world. Poa.st can be a jumping off point, or you can choose a less… opinionated node.There’s random weirdness on sleepy.cafe or shitposter.club and a couple of others. Or surf the Known Network for more. Check them out, see where you fit in.

I don't think they would describe themselves that way either. They style themselves as something like disinterested media critics, which I think is probably a fair description of their ideological leanings.
