Can anyone advise how I add an alias to my new pleroma account so that I can migrate my Mastodon account to it?The pleroma is a single user instance so I am also the admin with root shell access FWIW

       Anyone know what's wrong with this? I get {"error":"Invalid credentials."}curl -XPATCH --header "Authorization: Bearer $ACCESS_TOKEN" -d '{"also_known_as": ["https://mamot.fr/users/ryan"]}' https://ryanthomas.org/api/v1/accounts/update_credentials

The above worked perfectly, so long as ACCESS_TOKEN is defined correctly. In my case, it was not. Thanks to ilja and tusooa in libera.#pleroma - Pull it from DevTools Network tab from PleromaFE. A refresh may work or you may have to wait for an update request on the timeline, but you can pull the bearer token from there.

@aThanks for looking into Kenoma for me last night. Managed to set the alias up and successfully migrated followers from Mastodon by pulling the bearer token from PleromaFE in DevTools and executing command above in Bash. Sharing in case someone asks again in the future, though I guess the dev version of the web interface has this built-in already so it's just a matter of time. Best

For the record I just noticed soapbox-fe has alias support built-in

It's live in the backend/API, stable version of the frontend doesn't have it yet so I had to use curl, but I'm told the dev version has it built in the frontend. I'm using soapbox now for my FE and I see it in the settings. Not sure about migrating FROM a Pleroma instance, but Migrating to Pleroma (announcing an alias) is totally doable now
