What happened to save the planet, and everything on it? Like, stop deforestation, stop open pit mining, stop dumping in oceans and then fostering our flora and fauna. Nah…. Fuck that. Lets mine the shit out of cobalt, lithium, and rare earth metals in third world countries using child labor to make batteries that our power grids cannot charge. Then, we can tax carbon based shit that actually works for human kind. The plebs suffer. WEALTH TRANSFER.

@danksteady There is no saving the planet, we passed 350 ppm CO2 in the atmosphere back in 1987. There is no taking that out again. And we didn't stop there, we are currently up to 420 ppm CO2. Methane levels are also record high.And it's not their fault, it's yours. And somewhat mine. I decided to never have own any kind of car when I was 16. Did you? Your friends? Your parents? Are you personally taking responsibility and acting sustainable right now? I'm guessing no.

@Zerglingman @danksteady Consider this example: You've got huge dam filled with drinking water. You there and fill up a bottle of water and then you piss in it. Then 100 of your friends do the same. Now that water's undrinkable. That's what we've already done by means of forever-lasting chemicals now present in rainwater everywhere.We have many unsolvable environmental problems. Eradicating everyone flying to "climate change" "conferences", preferably by ax to the head, would barely help.

George Carlin said it best 30 years ago when he claimed that liberal hippie types don't really give a shit about saving the planet, they just want a clean habitatThey don't really give a shit if inner Mongolia is turned into an industrial waste dump reminiscent of Mordor, they just want to be able to plug in their EV and eat plant burgersNot to mention the transfer of goods via ocean freight uses some of the most dirty and foul diesel imaginable, a majority of the pollution in LA doesn't come from the infinity traffic (but it doesn't help) but instead comes from all those Chinese freighters parked in Long BeachEven if everyone gave up their car right now and all other polluting industries were to cease, simply allowing those freighters to operate would change almost nothing
