ok this is good enough. the hexagons would print better if they were point-down, but it'd look worse

the hexagon sketch has approximately 401 constraints in it and its very slow and i hate it but ... it worked

might be a good idea to print the screw bits separately first to check if the dimensions are okay 🤔

@piggo@piggo.space imo hexagons are overused in 3d printing; for vents i prefer offset round slots like these

@piggo@piggo.space if sketches are too slow you can try these horrible alternatives:* import svg, extrude, boolean difference op with body* make a hexagonal primitive, create duplicate links (remember you can use references to other objects and spreadsheet cells in expressions, so you can align them automatically), then subtract them from the body as above

@piggo oh I see it elsewhere in the thread. What type of temp/humidity sensors? 1-wire? I2C? I guess this is for indoor .. doesn't look very waterpoof

@mia fancy. how did u make the printer change direction based on that tho? Ive seen something similar where there was a signature of the model author made out of the bottom layer fill

@piggo@piggo.space unfortunately that case ended up in the trash anyway because it was slightly too small and flimsydidn’t do another print of it either. the fairphone is too damn fat to begin with; wrapping a thick plastic case around it would not have helped

@mia hmm its the official profile for this filament.. this one is consistently kinda bad, compared to Prusament it's awful. maybe worth a try ...
