@kaia losslesscut if you're just trying to trim stuff. it avoids a re-encode. shotcut if you actually want to edit.blender if you are feeling noneuclidean.

@icedquinn @kaia kdenlive if you've given up on "simple" on other platforms before and just ended up using pirated Adobe Premiere instead and spent a man-month watching tutorials to learn the basics

@kaia Olive, or Openshot, however I often use OBS if I am just trying to capture a subsection or a cropped output. And, I would recommend handbrake re-encoding to optimize your size/quality if you plan on distributing it on the web.

@kaia@brotka.st I personally use kdenlive. I don't edit videos very often, but it does whatever I need for making videos for my school projects just fine.
