@dj @nerdtronics I can never justify paying for delivery unless I'm ordering for a party (never).TBH I wouldn't be starving if I just bought groceries but it's been busy recently.I'm currently on the eating peanut with honey and maybe fast food once a day diet.

@splitshockvirus @dj You gotta get on that crockpot grind man, just buy a bunch of meat, put it in the freezer, then a bunch of lentils and spices and cans of broth (or boxed broth). That stuff will keep for six months+ and all you have to do is pick up some veggies here and there, and before you go to bed just drop 2 cups of lentils, a hunk of frozen meat, chopped up veges (onions and carrots and a tomato are good starters) and some spices (like curry and paprika, etc) and fill it up with both until its 1 inch over the ingredients. Super easy and the only thing you have to worry about perishing is the veges. You can also freeze bread for dipping in your stew and pull it the night you cook. I freeze the majority of my food because I had the same problem.

@splitshockvirus @nerdtronics I don’t do delivery either but I’m addicted to ordering groceries online and parking outside and they put it in your trunk. Very convenient.

@splitshockvirus @dj And if you are going to slow through the leftovers, you can freeze the stew in tupperware or ziplock bags (freeze a bag with enough to fill a bowl for dinner) My grandma do this and when she's not in the mood to cook she just takes out a single serve bag of frozen soup or stew she made and heats it up on the stovetop.

@dj @splitshockvirus I too stubborn to do that, I will always shop in person because I want to see the items and compare prices, always website can mess and tell you they have an item when they actually don't, my Wal-Mart down the street pulled that on me when I was looking for a specific type of lithium battery for an ARM board.

@dj @nerdtronics I tried this for a while but I hate using their stupid phone app and their stupid website (publix and sam's club). I recently just end up just going to walmart or publix in person.

@dj @nerdtronics I also spend about the same amount of time in the app as I do in the store, plus the app/website doesn't show you all what is actually at the store, hard to compare prices of generic brands etc. It's really only worth doing at Sam Club where everything is generic brand you are buying in bulk. Publix is better for in person produce, deli, and small purchases.Walmart is only good for if I didn't order a head of time for Sam's (which is often).

@nerdtronics @dj I'm definitely going to take this into consideration for my next bulk purchase. Everything needs to be able to be frozen, and preferable easy meal prep. I have a Ninja pressure cooker I wonder if it has a slow cook feature, if not I'll pick up a crook pot.

@splitshockvirus @dj Yup, you can keep it really simple, and just mix match veges to meat to legumes (lentils, beans, quinoa) and add spices. If it comes out bland you can always add more salt and spice after and hot sauce.Beans though, if you want to use them some require overnight soaking before cook except for black beans.

@splitshockvirus @dj Also don't be afraid to heavy on onions, mince the onions really fine and the slow cooking process will melt them into into the broth and make it very tasty :yum
