       @hajime Japanese culture and celebrites are very popular in China. We Chinese feminists have deep empathy for you and for ourselves. Situations for women in China is not good either. There is a saying： 东亚三国手牵手，谁先平权谁是狗 . It means: The three East Asian countries (Japan, Korea and China) are just as bad, none of them would achive gender equality in a life time. The scandal of 香川照之 went viral in Chinese SNS too. Many of us are deeply shocked to see such a important figure would sexually assault and beat women. Surrogacy is not leagal in China but the buyers won't be punished. A man paid a poor woman in her forties to carry his embroy. Later he discovered she has Syphilis. He was angry and told her to abort the baby. She refused and he disappered without further payment.  five years later, the baby grew to five year old. The little girl couldn't go to school because she didn't have identity number.  the surrogate mother gave birth at home and was not related to her biologically.  She came to newspaper and found out the male buyer ordered a male twins through surrogacy after telling her to abort the baby girl. It was breaking news. But the man walks. No government and law enforcement bother to arrest him or give him trouble.
