       USB 4 version 2 was just announced, and it seems strikingly similar to leaked information about the upcoming Thunderbolt 5 specification...        Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4 are part of the same spec essentially. TB4 is basically an extension

       In reality this means Apple won and USB was bolted onto their Thunderbolt protocol in order for USB to keep getting less terrible, but it's still terrible
