@Moon I gave Urbit a try, wasn't really sure where to go with it. The new user chat room in the documentation wouldn't let me connect. I tried to use the #Bitcoin wallet and couldn't find a live backend to connect to let alone find up to date documentation on connecting my own node. #Urbit just doesn't seem ready for prime time to me. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future.

@Moon I apparently didn't pick up on the fact that you were making fun of Urbit or "Urbitors", how embarrassing. 😔None the less, I did try to give Urbit a serious try and was underwhelmed/disappointed.The Ethereum identity system is a giant barrier to entry, I don't have to mess with tokens to try other open source projects.Once I got past that I found I didn't know what to do next and the stuff I tried didn't really work.

@Moon @lizard I consider myself a highly technical person relatively speaking, and Urbit only became really accessible to someone like me just under a year ago.I've been active just over a month. I'm extremely interested in all possible alternatives to the current social media paradigm.It's going to get more interesting as I get a sense of community there, I think, so I'm happy to help anyone else any way I can

@Moon @lizard I bet! I have no interest in learning hoon. I've had enough fun setting up the Linux host environment. I assume down the road some higher level dev/script systems could emerge on top of hoon that I could take an interest in TYFYC
