       Theological question: would a Heaven have technology? If so, why haven’t the residents contacted us, given lots of smart people there, of whom at least some would dedicate infinite time to it?And if not, *why*? Maybe:- Lack of natural resources.- Everyone’s on the holy version of soma.- An entity actively blocks it.In any case, that’s pickin’s for a horror novel.

       @tek idk if you wanted serious answers, but as it was explained to me when I was kid, there's no "earthly" things there. There's also (supposedly) no form of sorrow, so no missing people that aren't there. Those two concepts combined I think stack up to "No possible desire for, or means of, external communicating"

       @stellarskylark Believe it or not, I was being serious (in the "imagine we're all sitting around talking and an odd thought comes up" way). It just occurred to me to wonder which would be worse: that the spirits don't want to contact us, that they're incapable, or that they're blocked. Each has implications.I think it's cool, too.
