DID YOU KNOWOshie has never actually watched Dragon Ball (the 1986 OG series not Z) before!!!So tonight I watched the first 4 episodes!! and it's really good!!Only 149 episodes to go!

@ocean I tried watching Dragon Ball many times, including the OG series, and I couldnt get past when Goku meets Krillin. With Z I couldnt even get past the first episodes.I prefer the manga. I recommend you check it out.I think Dragon Ball is overrated. I likes YuYu Hakuso way more than Dragon Ball.

@ocean hot take: dragonball is better than DBZlike, the high points of DBZ are more exciting than dragonball but DB is overall a much better paced/written/imagined story

@enigmatico Dragon Ball Z up to the end of the Frieza arc is like legendary god-tier must watch anime (ideally DBZ Kai cut)The Cel stuff after is generally pretty good too, and then the boo saga is ok tier imoDBZ is really fun tho! I love the games and stuff and overall it's my favorite battle anime of it's typeIt's just so imaginative and cool and the characters are awesome and and and and

@proto I hope we get more games in the vein of Xenoverse in the future. Where you can create your own Dragon Ball character and it's not just a retelling of the animeThat being said I'm playing through Kakarot right now and it's probably the best anime-retelling game they've ever done! There is so much attention to detail!

@ocean Everyone I know says the same but I never got to find the joy of it. Maybe its because I didnt watch it as a kid :blobcatlul:I think the combats are cool. But story wise its not that good (maybe excusing the og series) and the anime is too slow. Like they often take too long just to make one move during a combat. The manga is more enjoyable imo.
