@rs1linuxtools The first I tried to install was Slackware in ~1995. The first I succeeded to install and use was SuSE 4.2, one late night on December 26th of 1996.

@rs1linuxtools Well my first linux I booted was Fedora, but at the time I did now even know what is Linux, I booted it from pendrive thinking it will be some hirenz-boot like CD. But my first distro to use really was Ubuntu, because when choosing I still did not know much about Linux :]

@rs1linuxtools the first I installed was Yggdrasil Linux/GNU/X https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yggdrasil_Linux/GNU/X it was between 1994 and 1998 I think. The first Linux I used seriously was Fedora Core 6

@rs1linuxtools I installed both redhat and mandrake from a magazine cd somewhere around y2k. I don't remember the versions though.Couldn't install anything because all the guides on the net said make install so I never found out about package managers.
