       I prefer GTK to Qt because I don't want to code in C++. 😅 However, if Emacs switch to Qt, it is okay. Because Emacs isn't my project and I hope it will work better on KDE Plasma.

       @veer66 No, i'm on the latest (GNU) Emacs from their git repo, but do not build with GTK but with the Lucid toolkitNot sure if that was based on Motif, too  long ago.

       @mrb Thai text rendering is going to be a nightmare. Getting Harfbuzz to work with an archaic toolkit is too challenging.

       @veer66 ah, I don't know anything about Lucids capabilities in that arena.  Would that affect all menus etc not working correctly?I don't think it would affect the content-text rendering as such?
