@amerika @Carp @n3f_X @SirRichard @BowsacNoodle @PensiveCowboy it's not the real world. does the boat you built float? even better can it cross a large body of water? does the roof leak? does your business profit? does the land and people you preside over remain stable and prosperous?vs were the right bubbles filled in on the scantron (passive voice intended) or were you in enough clubs (you don't have to actually do anything just be on the roster and have some meetings)or were all the stupid homework assignments you had to waste your time on kept neat and organized in a binder and turned in for 60% of your grade at the end of the semester (do your taxes)it's all bullshit and makework to prepare you for careers in bullshit and makework.

Most of them just want to do their thing.Someone who shares my culture is going to understand everything else but the sexuality, and we can agree on civility for that; someone from another culture will understand nothing in common except heterosexuality, and that is an uninteresting detail for heterosexuals really.

@dew_the_dew @Carp @n3f_X @SirRichard @BowsacNoodle @PensiveCowboy Interesting what cultural yardsticks we have.I tend to look at how well someone can explain a structural concept.This filters out the phrase-memorizers and lets you see someone who is capable of analytical thought, even if they speak in monosyllables or other simple language.Uneducated =/= dumb, and I always account for that in any analysis.
