I'm looking for a software to edit audio. My criterias:• multi platform (Windows + Linux)• Can apply filters in a non-destructive way, something that Audacity cannot do. So that I can apply multiple filters in chain, then still be able to edit the parameters of the first one without having to revert everything. Something like DAWs do. • Not too hard to learn• Open source and libre• Ideally free or not too expensive.

@narF I have a playlist of videos teaching Ardour from the ground up.In 30 minutes you should be ready to do what you want.https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLi2LbJnGR-49PM2Pbs46zySEO-7tBsBsIArdour is open-source, though official binaries cost $1 minimum. On Linux you can get it for free from distribution repositories, on Windows there's no other way, unless you want to built it from source (spooky). You can also join my community chat and ask questions - even Ardour's creator Paul Davis is there :)https://chat.unfa.xyz

I know about Ardour, from watching @unfa 's videos but it looks like it would be difficult to learn. Ideally something slightly easier! 😅

At the moment, I'm thinking I could use Shotcut, which is a video editing software than also have some basic audio tools, because I already know how to use it. But maybe there are other options?
