I'm now in a position where I might be able to do some video content but I'm ambivalent about it.All the streams I've done in the past are episodic games. Those work really well because I can take 5 episodes that are 2 hours long and make them last a week. Each stream has a good length to it and doesn't overstay its welcome.I'm not currently playing any episodic games and a lot of professional streamers stream for hours. I'm not sure how I feel about playing something like Dota or HOI4 endlessly and I don't know if my audience would like it either tbh.

@josh Dota streamers are usually watched either for their skill, or for the audience interaction. If you aren't comfortable reading chat and talking with them while farming, it's probably not a good idea.

@josh Maybe have a look to see if there are any single player games you haven't played or want to play, then you can use a stream as an excuse to play them, and you can play in journo mode if you wanna play the story and look at chat?

@josh I would like to watch you playing HOI4, Factory or maybe Satisfactory just play it with a set goal and work towards it or just stream as long as you want to OR just have fixed time limit like 2 hours or something.also Rim World or Dwarf Fortress would be fun to watch anything that let us see your weaponized super autism in action

@josh MOBAs and pretty much any game where you play the same levels over and over are boring to watch. That's how I feel. Other things are more fun.

@josh The SS13 streams were really fun tbh, i think something social (or story focused like the LiS games) would be most fun to watch. Very mechanics/skill based games like dota are kinda boring to watch except at a really high level imo.

@josh Part of the charm of streamers is just getting to sit in chat and feel like you're hanging with them. It's why minecraft is so popular even though it's so boring. You might not think so but you are genuinely entertaining. It's why 2k+ people watch you every week.

@josh There are certain games that are hard to follow visually and there's certain games where interesting topics of discussion can pop up. TBH I can't think of any game I'd watch, I'd only listen to them just cause it's more of Daddy Moon
