ITM! Y’all are the core group of regular posters on this instance. Now that No Agenda Social has room for many new accounts, the justification for this instance to continue is no longer valid. I always intended for it to be open to folks who couldn't make it on to NAS. Now is your chance!Therefore, I’ve decided that ITM Slaves will go offline at the end of August. What you need to do:1. It's been good overall. I've done both now, mastodon and pleroma/soapbox. The monthly cost is more than I expected since soapbox doesn't currently have a way to keep your instance storage use from growing indefinitely. This means that over time, costs go up and there's nothing you can do about it. Even if you store all user uploads on cheap block storage, the disk usage still creeps up so you have to upgrade. It would be easier if I had access to cheap hardware I could run myself but I already self host other things at home and only have one external IP.

@john@itmslaves.com Pleroma and Misskey don't have a solution either. Your biggest worry is the database and not uploads so much. you can use that command to purge uploads every 6 months or so.

@Zennblack You have to answer three questions with inside knowledge of No Agenda Social to access the registration page. It always says "registration closed" on the main page, make sure you manually go to https://signup.noagendasocial.com
