       @SirSidereal avoiding low quality, cheap wines is a good start.However, it might be that you haven’t tried the right type of wine yet.Wine varies greatly in sweetness, astringency, acidity, complexity, intensity, flavors, aromas, and of course, quality.So, try different stuff.  If you have wineries where you are, go visit them and do tastings. Be willing to admit you didn’t like anything or that it was just okay or that you fell in love with a wine. Exploring is part of the fun.
