       @stux@mstdn.social I would have a good idea. Start with 30 seconds as the first video and new videos can be two seconds longer than the average of all videos.

       @stux How about 2 categories?- short clips (e.g. 20s) for stuff like one-line jokes (TikTok style)- longer videos (e.g. 90s) for stuff like sketches (Twitter style)Users could then select what kind of videos they want to see, potentially even (optionally) having 2 seperate timelines.

       @stux As short as possible, video transcoding is expensive af and every second adds additional load that is likely to impact UX unless you're running it on a powerful server.There is a reason that TikTok gradually increased the length limitation!
